NEED TO SELL MY VAN – FAQS

Here are a few questions asked, and answered with our 30 years of knowledge and experience. If you have any questions that are not specified on this page please do not hesitate to call and ask us, we are here to help and give the best advice possible.

CAN YOU COLLECT MY VAN TODAY?

We can usually arrange a quote within one hour and as we are flexible we will do our best to collect the van the same day.

I DO NOT HAVE A V5  (LOGBOOK) – WILL YOU BUY MY VAN?

To enable us to buy your van, we must have the V5 and it needs to be registered in your name.
You can apply for a new V5 from the DVLA by completing and sending a V62 to them which you can obtain from the post office or online at www.direct.gov.uk

If the van is already registered in your name DVLA have a fast track system available.

HOW WILL I BE PAID?

We pay by either Bankers draft or secure money transfer directly into your bank account – which you can verify before you release your van to us.

WHY NOT CASH?

Paying cash for vehicles would mean both us and ultimately you, would need to carry large amounts around and we feel that is both unsafe and unwise. Call us and we will discuss the best method of payment to suit you.

I'M NERVOUS ABOUT SELLING MY VAN, HOW DO I KNOW THAT IT'S SAFE?

You will deal entirely with Andy & Karen who own NEEDTOSELLMYVAN.CO.UK and not an impersonal call centre or computer programme.

We will do our best to reassure and assist you every step of the way, we can pay by secure bank transfer directly into your account or by Bankers draft. We will come to you at a time and place convenient for you and we will pay for your car at the time of collection, so you do not have to wait for payment.

MY MOT HAS EXPIRED, CAN I SELL MY VAN?

Yes, you can sell a van once the MOT has expired, every van has a value – call us, tell us about your van, and we will do our best to provide the best option for you.

I WORK IRREGULAR HOURS – CAN YOU COLLECT MY VAN FROM ME AT WORK?

We are very flexible and will do our best to fit in with you, we also do morning, evening and weekend appointments and don’t have set working hours. We will arrange a convenient time and place for your appointment entirely based around you.
